Rescue. Differently.

Beyond Rescue Foundation is a pet retention program. Our mission is to keep pet dogs with their families through providing resources that will enable the dog to stay in the home they already have. Despite best efforts, sometimes retention is not possible. In those cases, Beyond Rescue Foundation facilitates the private rehoming of pet dogs with dignity and without judgement.

Retention

• Behavior: providing free resources on behavior and training, connecting owners with reputable trainers, funding for training that will enable the dog to remain in the home
• Medical: connecting owners with low cost medical care, funding for medical emergencies alleviating the need for the owner to surrender for the dog to receive care
• Housing: connecting owners with reputable daycare or boarding services in times of crisis, funding for temporary daycare or boarding services in times of crisis
• Basic Care: funding for supplies enabling owners to continue providing for their dog, access to low cost basic care supplies

Rehoming

• Networking: posting and sharing dogs in need of rehoming, connecting owners with opportunities for successful rehoming placement
• Transparency: coaching owners on developing thorough, accurate descriptions of their dog in need of rehoming
• Responsibility: educating owners on screening applicants, meet and greets, and private rehoming contracts
• Respect: supporting owners through each step of the rehoming process, support for adopters post-placement
