About Our Care

Your dog's happiness and safety are our first priorities. Our care has been thoughtfully designed to minimize stress and maximize comfort through exercise, rest, and enrichment as well as compassionate management of each dog's behavioral needs.

Each dog is provided many daily sessions in our securely fenced quarter acre yard for play, exercise, and elimination and are given run of our home during their sessions for a truly at-home feel.

Crate/kennel time is loaded with enrichment through food toys, owner approved chew items, and calming music psychoacoustically composed specifically for dogs. It is our pleasure to care for your dog.

We are happy to answer any and all questions you may have regarding our care.

Beyond's Owner/Operator

Diane Orenchuk, CPDT-KA

I began my career in retail management and progressed to corporate retail in store operations. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from the Anisfield School of Business at Ramapo College of NJ. I changed career paths to align with my love for animals and worked in shelter management for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) for over a year. I earned the certificate of CPDT-KA from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. I have worked with a vast variety of dogs for over 7 years through shelter care, foster, daycare and boarding, and training. I have education in and experience with fearful, high arousal/energy, resource guarding, aggression, and dog selective behaviors. I am currently a trainer with It's Your Dog, School for Dogs.

My education is rooted in the expansive, scientifically documented benefits and effectiveness of reward training. In training and boarding, I use food, toys, and other rewards to reinforce desirable behaviors. Dogs are individuals, therefore I work at each dog's pace and base rewards on their preferences. I am fluent in dog body language and respect the dog's communication. I believe in setting dogs up for success, creating a fulfilled life for each unique dog, and earning dogs' trust. I passionately seek continued education in the canine field.

Diane is certified in Pet First Aid and Pet CPR through American Safety & Health Institute and First Aid & CPR, LLC.

Larissa | Wellness Specialist

I have been working for Beyond the Walk since November 2018. I have hands on experience with dogs and many other pets. Canines are the foundation of my life, both professionally and in my personal life. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking and being outside with my family and pups, training my dogs as a hobby, and making each day the best it can be!

Sydney | Wellness Specialist

I've loved dogs and animals since I was very young; grew up with them my entire life. I started out with volunteering at local animal shelters, a wildlife sanctuary along with pet sitting for family and friends. I've worked for a pet sitting company alone with a few different dog kennels. I have never not been around dogs, whether it was spending a week pet sitting, being at the shelter or kennel, or just being with my own dogs. Working with and caring for dogs has always been my greatest passion in life.
